History
The Legacy of My Father, Elder Edgar Ward, Lives On!
My father, my role model, my hero, was a very generous and kind man who served his community tirelessly. His faithful and bold Christian heart served and gave continuously for over 30 years to many less fortunate homeless men, women, and children at The Bay Area Rescue Mission. Before he took his last breath many would testify that he diligently emptied his pockets and gave food, clothing, and shelter to the needy. God in His grace and mercy would always replenish his storehouse so that the work of serving others would continue. God blessed my father, Elder Edgar Ward and filled his cup up to run over and over so that he could feed the desperate souls and point them to the Lord Jesus Christ, our only King. Alongside my devoted father Elder Edgar Ward with his life long helpmate (my beloved mother) Mrs. Thelma Ward.

My faithful mother, Mrs. Thelma Ward, was an anointed nurse who passionately provided wellness counseling and health instructions to many. She tirelessly gave wise counsel regard health, family and living a Christian life devoted to the Lord, the family, and your spouse. All that I am today I owe to the legacy and example of my beloved parents Elder Edgar Ward and Mrs. Thelma Ward.
After the passing of our beloved father our dear mother Mrs. Thelma Ward-Johnson, remarried a wonderful man who also supports the work at the Harvest House he along with our siblings carry on the Legacy of service to honor God and care for the needy. One day we will pass along the passion of serving others in our community and hold up the honor of Elder Edgar Ward and the Lord Jesus Christ who teaches us to love one another. This is my honor, I was born to serve and one day I will pass this Legacy on.
